This copy was written for a short article in Mom&I magazine. Since it is a Korean magazine, it was written by me in English and translated by the Mom&I editors for the magazine.

The K-Beauty Craze

By: Cassidy Kramer

Korean skincare and makeup (also known as K-Beauty) has been blowing up in the US beauty industry for several years now, but is expected to continue worldwide. Starting with sheet masks, K-Beauty has taken over cosmetic stores, American clothing stores, and even convenience stores, namely CVS. Their products are now expanding in age, range, and product.

K-Beauty focuses on your skin’s natural beauty. Its basic mission is to express natural beauty and brilliance while making use of your skin’s texture rather than covering up imperfections with makeup. Due to this, there’s an emphasis placed more on skincare and how it can be implemented into their makeup brands rather than makeup on its own.

The K-Beauty cosmetics store in Fort Lee is composed mainly of skincare products that are beloved in Korea. It introduces a wide range of products that are tailored to various consumers from their teens all the way to their 60s and beyond! Previously, their consumer base was mostly Asian customers who already knew the power of K-Beauty. More recently, however, the base has expanded to a group of more diverse people as the rise in popularity of K-Beauty continues in the US.

What was thought to be a fleeting trend is now here to stay. Korean Beauty has revolutionized the beauty industry in the US and has changed the way we look at makeup forever!
